Top Coats

Frenchic Finishing Coat provides a more durable alternative to wax when using our Original Artisan Range and provides a soft sheen. We particularly advise using it on furniture that may be more heavily used or is prone to water splash. Good for knotty wood that is prone to bleedthrough. Frenchic Finishing Coat is made from non-poisonous materials and without any chemical solvent.  Thanks to its composition, it is virtually innocuous for people and the environment. It has also gone through rigorous testing to be certified child safe (EN 71:3). Our Finishing Coat also works wonders paired with Frensheen and can be used for decoupage projects, image transfer and decorative glazes. Available in 500ml bottles.

Tuff Top Coat
Independently tested, the product passes the most stringent of tests and has an ISO 11998 Class 1 scrub rating meaning that it withstands repeated cleaning regimes. It is specially formulated with increased heat resistance and will provide added protection from hot cups and similar. Very low in odour, TTC has no added VOC and provides protection after a curing time of 16 hours at room temperature. Suitable for interior and exterior use, this fab product is really versatile and can be used over painted surfaces, internal wooden floors, and porous vertical surfaces such as concrete, unglazed tiles and brickwork. Complying with EN71-3 Tuff Top Coat provides a hard wearing surface when painting children’s toys. Two coats are advised applied with a Frenchic flat brush 30 minutes apart and then allow 16 hours for a full cure! Marvellous!
